Compadre Zoysia – Medium blade zoysia with a soft texture. Compadre is very drought tolerant, has a nice deep green color, and can be maintained with a standard rotary mower. Compadre looks very similar to Empire Zoysia, but compadre is much more cold tollerant. This means it will spend less time in dormancy, and winter damage is much less likely. Compadre can be used on home lawns, golf courses, and in any setting where a very durable – low maintenance lawn is desired.
El Toro Zoysia - Medium width blade with a light green color. El Toro repairs itself from traffic wear, and has good shade tolerance. El Toro can give the appearance of a fescue lawn when properly maintained, but it is much more drought tolerant than fescue. El Toro can be maintained with a rotary mower.
Empire Zoysia – Medium blade zoysia with a soft texture. Empire is very drought tolerant, has a nice deep green color, and can be maintained with a standard rotary mower. It can be used on home lawns, golf courses, and in any setting where a very durable – low maintenance lawn is desired.
Patriot Bermuda - Thin to medium width blade with a natural, dark green color. The most "cold tolerant" bermuda grass - meaning that it is much less susceptible to spring dead spot. Patriot is used mostly on golf courses and athletic fields as it repairs extremely quick from traffic and damage. Patriot is not very shade tolerant, but it is extremely drought tolerant.
T-10 Bermuda - A medium width blade with a natural, dark, blue/green color. T-10 is considered a low maintenance bermuda grass that is perfect for home lawns, golf courses and athletic fields. T-10 offers great savings on maintenance given it requires about 50% less mowing and fertilization than most other bermuda grasses. T-10's vertical growth is slow (meaning it requires less frequent mowing), and it can be maintained with a rotary mower. However, T-10's horizontal growth is aggressive allowing it to repair quickly from traffic and damage. T-10 is also very drought tolerant.
Tifblair Centipede - Medium width blade with a light "apple green" color. Tifblair is referred to as "The Lazy Man's Grass" given its very slow growth and lack of dependence on fertilization. Tifblair is an improved variety over "common" centipede, but it is not very tolerant of shade. However, Tifblair can be mowed with a standard rotary mower
Tifsport Bermuda - Thin width blade with a light green color. Tifsport is mostly used on golf courses and high-end athletic fields. Tifsport should be mowed with a real mower to eliminate scalping, and is not shade tolerant. Tifsport recovers quickly from traffic and damage, and is very drought tolerant.
Tifway 419 Bermuda - Thin width blade with a light green color. Tifway is one of the most well known bermuda grasses as it has been around for a long time. Tifway is not shade tolerant, but is very drought tolerant. Tifway should be maintained with a real mower to eliminate scalping. Tifway looks very similar to Tifsport.
Zeon Zoysia - Thin width blade with dark green color. Zeon is an improved variety of zoysia that requires much less maintenance than most fine-bladed zoysia grasses. Zeon is very shade tolerant and drought tolerant, and it can be maintained with a rotary mower. Zeon requires between 20% and 25% less water than fescue - which is the reason many homeowners are switching to Zeon.
